Job summary

SJS is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate school-wide operational services ensuring safe, effective, and uninterrupted operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage events, facility rentals, transportation, insurance, uniforms and safety programs within a complex school environment.

The role emphasizes project leadership, vendor relations, and compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements, with evening and weekend flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in business administration, facilities, operations or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible operational experience, ideally in educational or complex environments.
• Experience in project management, emergency/crisis response, vendor management and cross-functional coordination.
• Knowledge of applicable safety and regulatory requirements; project-management training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school-wide operational services to ensure safe, effective and uninterrupted operations.
• Lead cross-functional operational projects and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Supervise Events Coordinator and support event planning, logistics and budgeting.
• Manage facility rentals, transportation programs, insurance, uniforms and related services.
• Coordinate health and safety, JOHS activities, documentation and training.
• Oversee security, access control, campus safety and incident follow-up.
• Engage with external stakeholders, vendors and regulatory bodies as required.
