Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Transportation, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or a related industry.
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑department operations and large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation operations, fleet management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with safety programs, risk management, and incident response.
  • Understanding of maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance and repair workflows.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience with operational systems, telematics, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance high‑level planning and hands‑on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
  • Lead and support multiple departmental managers across transportation, service, and operational functions.
  • Monitor performance through KPIs, dashboards, and reporting, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee transportation operations to ensure service reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
  • Optimize fleet utilization, maintenance programs, and service readiness.
  • Oversee garage, maintenance, and repair operations, including preventive maintenance and turnaround times.
  • Drive cost control across labour, parts, vendor management, and capital planning.
  • Lead safety programs, including incident management, risk mitigation, and compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance in partnership with finance leadership.
  • Build, coach, and develop high- performing leadership teams.
  • Foster a strong culture focused on service excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, regulators, and external partners.
  • Address escalated operational issues, incidents, and service challenges.
  • Lead or support technology improvements, system optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
