British Columbia Public School Employers' Association | Make a Future - Careers in BC Education seeks Casual Designated Custodians for Wonowon School. Responsibilities include cleaning, minor maintenance and ensuring building security. Work is on an as-needed basis with 11 months of work per year.

Starting wage is $24.97 per hour. Candidates should have Grade 10 or equivalent, cleaning experience, and be able to operate an auto scrubber and window cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or equivalent.
• 1 year of commercial/school cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to operate large auto scrubber and window cleaning equipment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• WHMIS certificate and safety training to be completed within probation.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Search.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects building interior, fixtures and windows; handles garbage and cleaning tasks.
• Responsible for building security.
• Performs minor maintenance on doors, windows, lamps, furniture and fixtures.
• Organizes daily and seasonal cleaning tasks under supervision.
• Monitors and orders custodial and maintenance supplies.
• Ensures tools and equipment are in good working order.
• Follows safety rules and ensures a safe worksite and proper handling of hazardous materials.
