Job summary

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain clean, sanitary and attractive school facilities. You will perform cleaning and maintenance duties in a professional, safe and efficient manner under the Caretaker and Building Management Supervisor.

A High School Diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50lbs, basic computer skills and shift flexibility (day, evening, night) are required. Previous janitorial experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a General Educational Development (GED);
• Ability to lift 50lbs to perform a full range of cleaning and janitorial duties;
• Basic computer skills;
• Able to work all shift schedules including day, evening and nights;
• Previous janitorial experience an asset.
