Job summary

Elgie Bus Lines, a division of Student Transportation of Canada, is seeking School Bus Drivers for a part-time role with a focus on safety and reliability. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, summers off, and opportunities to upgrade licenses at no cost, enabling you to work with local children and make a positive community impact.

We provide flexible 15–20 hour per week hours and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class-G driver's license.
• Willingness to train for license upgrades at no cost.

Responsibilities

• Pick up school-aged passengers from predetermined locations each morning and deliver them to school.
• In the afternoon, transport students back home along the same routes.
• Operate Monday–Friday schedule with summers off, typically morning and afternoon shifts.

What do School Bus Drivers do?

It's pretty simple, in the morning we pick up school aged passengers from predetermined locations and then deliver them to school. In the afternoon, we do the exact same thing, just in reverse order; we take them from school back home (once again at predetermined locations).

School Bus Drivers operate Monday - Friday, from September until the end of June...that's right, summers off. Depending upon your specific route, you could work anywhere from 7 am - 9:30 am then again in the afternoon from about 2 pm - 4 pm.
