Job Overview

The role involves managing the planning system outputs and controls to balance inventory performance with order fulfillment. Responsibilities include releasing parts requirements to the supply chain, managing move in/move out signals from the planning system, and analyzing demand trends, forecasts, and inventory levels to recommend system parameter adjustments to management.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Plan inventory, schedule materials, initiate purchase orders, and align system forecasts to maximize inventory, availability, and supply chain performance.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, receiving, and order boards.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, establish corrective measures, and maintain performance metrics to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions collaboratively.
  • Address expediting needs to ensure stock availability and minimize backorders and stockouts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Logistics, Purchasing, or equivalent experience; APICS certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production planning, or with whole goods products is advantageous.
  • Strong supplier management skills.
  • Sense of urgency and proactive approach.
  • Accountability and responsibility, including acting as a backup for the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ability to be a change agent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning and supply chain execution.
  • Proficiency in PC skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and high-level user skills in PIPS, SAP, and Inventory Planning Systems.
  • Physical Requirements: This role requires sitting for extended periods (over 90%) to perform detailed work on a PC, with occasional extended periods to meet deadlines.
