Job summary

Bruce County is seeking a Scheduler to oversee shift planning and scheduling for its Long-Term Care and Senior Services. You will ensure efficient rosters, support payroll processes, and uphold resident safety and care standards.

Qualifications

  • 1-year post-secondary diploma in office administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of varied office experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with scheduling software, or in a scheduling role.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.
  • Experience with Avanti scheduling processes an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shift planning and development for Long-Term Care.
  • Monitor and maintain the work schedule and related payroll processes.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Scheduling Supervisor, the Scheduler is responsible for shift planning, development, reporting, ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the work schedule and related payroll processes for Long-Term Care. As a valued member of the Long-Term Care team, the Scheduler demonstrates a commitment to Resident safety by managing schedules for each division within the Long-Term Care and Senior Services Department at the County of Bruce to provide exceptional care in accordance with the organization’s mission and vision.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 1-year post-secondary diploma office administration or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of varied office experience, in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with scheduling software, or in a scheduling role
  • Experience working in a unionized environment an asset
  • Experience with Avanti scheduling processes an asset

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Effective communication, organization, time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment required
  • Familiarity with long term care, and similar operations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
