Job summary
Domtar in Atikokan, Ontario, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance staff and contractors, ensure safe, reliable operations, and support production goals at the Atikokan Sawmill. You will manage daily maintenance activities, drive CMMS processes, plan shutdowns, and partner with production to maximize uptime while controlling costs.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of maintenance leadership in heavy industry, a technologist or journeyperson certification, and a focus on safety
Qualifications
- Mech or elec techn degree and/or journeyperson cert with relevant experience.
- 3–5 years maintenance leadership in industrial setting.
- Experience with CMMS and maintenance reporting.
- Knowledge of sawmill equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance employees and contractors on assigned shifts.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and operational performance.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support production objectives.
- Ensure maintenance resources are deployed to meet priorities.
- Foster accountability, engagement, and teamwork.
