Job summary

ACE Vegetation is currently seeking an experienced Sawman to join our team for a FireSmart project in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Responsibilities include felling, limbing, bucking, removing hazards, and performing fuel-reduction work while adhering to safety procedures and FireSmart specifications. Opportunity for future ACE Vegetation projects in the Whitehorse area.

Qualifications

• Experienced with professional chainsaw, forestry or vegetation-management work.
• Strong knowledge of safe falling, limbing and bucking practices.
• Physically capable of working outdoors in rugged terrain and changing weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Chainsaw certification and First Aid are assets.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-focused.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
