Job summary

Russel Metals is seeking a Saw Operator at our Regina, SK location. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Operations Manager and involves selecting the correct material, operating the saw, and ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently. Starting Hourly Rate: $26.28 CAD; Fully Trained Hourly Rate: $33.58 CAD.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• May be required to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to operate the overhead crane / forklift.
• Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / calipers.
• Self motivated, results oriented.
• Previous experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift including Saws / Cranes and or any other equipment used.
• Perform all tasks safely and as directed.
• Comply with all workplace policies including health and safety.
• Be a team player.
• Perform all tasks in a professional respectful manner.
• Any other tasks that may be assigned by management.
• Participate in all company directed training.
• Responsible for selecting the correct material (bar and tube products) in order to saw cut customer orders as required.
• Organize work to consistently meet established production and quality targets.
