Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of satellite platform engineering ? We are seeking a Satellite Systems Platform Engineer to join a leading satellite systems team. This remote role focuses on RF and electrical system design, performance analysis, and testing , supporting advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Telecommunications satellites .
Key Responsibilities
Provide expertise in Telemetry, Command & Ranging (TCR), Control & Data Handling (CD&H), Power & Thermal, Attitude & Navigation Control (ADCS), and Propulsion systems
Design and analyze satellite platform and payload architectures , ensuring performance optimization
Monitor RF and electrical performance , supporting system-level verification and validation
Define system requirements, subsystem specifications, test requirements, and performance budgets
Support satellite integration, assembly, and testing , including EGSE setup, test supervision, and data analysis
Participate in program reviews (EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR) and support qualification and acceptance testing
Provide technical oversight for major subcontractors and integrated product teams
Write and maintain the subsystem operations manual and support in-orbit testing (IOT)
Collaborate with spacecraft operations teams to ensure seamless satellite functionality
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in satellite platform and payload design, with a focus on LEO / GEO satellites
Strong knowledge of orbit mechanics, space environment, and aerospace engineering principles
Experience in RF system testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
Hands-on experience with satellite integration, system-level performance testing, and qualification processes
Proficiency in simulation, modeling tools, and analytical problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong leadership skills with experience guiding technical teams
