Job summary

MaKami College is seeking an Administrative Associate to support the Student Advisor Services (SAS) team in Edmonton. You will handle confidential information, coordinate orientations, and manage student records and contracts with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or certificate in Office Administration, at least two years of experience, and strong MS Office and SharePoint skills. The role offers growth within a dynamic education environment and a focus on student success.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Providing information to colleagues and students, while handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Assisting with the organization and coordination of student 1st and 2nd-year orientations.
  • Preparing and auditing doutangs and student contracts, ensuring all relevant information is included.
  • Booking appointments for SAS Management and Advisors.
  • Booking student tours.
  • Fielding incoming calls and inquiries from students.
  • Ensuring student files are complete and submitted to the relevant departments.
  • Creating student Identification cards, ensuring they are uploaded to SharePoint.
  • Preparing Approved Tuition Credit Letters for Students.
  • Assisting Students with disability funding applications and processing agreements.
  • Compiling disability tutoring report for student aid.
  • Working collaboratively with members of the SAS team and Faculty.

This position has primary responsibility for providing Administrative support to the Student Advisor Services Team, ensuring that students are provided with the best possible service.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized institution
