Job description

Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced SAP S4 HANACLM (Contract Lease Management) Specialistwith expertise in (IFRS 16) and (ASC 842) compliance to join theirproject starting immediately on a 10 month contract with high potential for an extension. This role will support our clients finance and real estate teams in implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP CLM within S / 4HANA . The ideal candidate will have3+ years of hands-on SAP CLMexperiencein S / 4HANA , specifically for IFRS 16 / ASC 842 compliance a strong background in lease accounting, SAP RE-FX (optional but preferred), and S / 4HANA integration, ensuring seamless adoption of CLM for financial reporting and operational lease management. The position will be primarily remote, however, there will be travel expected to client sites during key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead SAP CLM implementation, configuration, and customization for compliance with IFRS 16 / ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
• Migrate legacy lease data from RE-FX or external systems into SAP CLM, ensuring accurate mapping of financial terms (e.g., lease liabilities, right-of-use assets).
• Design and optimize Fiori-based lease contract workflows, including contract creation, payment schedules, and journal postings.
• Integrate CLM with S / 4HANA Finance (Universal Journal) for real-time financial reporting and audit readiness.
• Provide expertise in lease classification (operating vs. finance leases) and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Support month-end close processes, including lease amortization, interest calculations, and disclosures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Real Estate, Accounting, IT) to align CLM with business processes.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform testing (unit / UAT), and train end-users on CLM functionalities.
• Stay updated on SAP roadmap for CLM vs. RE-FX and advise on best practices for S / 4HANA adoption.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
