Akkodis is seeking a SAP Functional Consultant for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (3 days onsite Hybrid). Ideally looking for experience with SAP design and configuration , 5 years in financial industry, who will be resolve system issues 45% responsible for Production & Project Support work to identify business issues, 2 years in SAP CML, Treasury or FICO, Agile or Scrum experience is also required preference would be someone with the required skills and experience, particularly in large organizations.

Title: SAP Functional Consultant

Location: 145 King St W Suite 2300, Toronto, ON M5H 1J8 (3x a week onsite (Tuesday-Thursday)

Note: Looking for 5 years of experience in mortgages experience(Financial industry)

JD:

Role is responsible for determining SAP design and configuration solutions that translate business needs into development requirements. This individual will be responsible for requirements planning and management, analyze and validate requirements for new or existing process, policies, and information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals on time and within budget.

Certifications, Skills:

·5+ years’ experience in financial industry is required, preferably mortgages experience.

· 2+ year experience in SAP CML, Treasury or FICO

· 5+ years’ experience with SAP projects

· 5+ years’ experience as functional lead in SAP projects · Experience working in Agile environment.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills allowing easy integration with other functional consultants and team members.

Project Support (45%)

· Work with internal BA’s and project members to identify business issues, problems and/or enhancements and provide highly innovative and creative solutions that achieve quality and process improvements with available hardware, software, databases and peripherals.

· Work closely with the development team translating business requirements into development requirements

· Support unit testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results

· Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture and escalate issues if necessary.

· Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.

· Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project manager or Application manager.

Production Support (45%)

· Work with internal BA’s and business users to identify and resolve system issues impacting business operations

· Work with development teams on identifying root cause of application bugs and resolving in a timely manner.

· Support unit and QA testing in identifying test cases and test data for system bugs and enhancements

· Adhere to existing change management processes and standards to support system development lifecycle.

· Contribute innovative, best practice and creative solutions to enhance and optimize current application systems,

· Provide on call system for critical system issues outside of regular business hours.

Functional Area Leadership (10%):

· Document inventory of configuration and enhancements in a functional area

· Work with other Functional leads to understand cross functional solutions and impact on Projects and support

Required Qualifications

Education Requirement: University degree in Computer Science, business or related field with a focus on information technology.
