Job summary

Masentó Group is seeking an experienced SAP Business Process Lead for Procure-to-Pay and Taxation on a freelance basis. You will serve as the bridge between operational business teams and the system integrator to protect business interests and ensure fit-to-standard designs as the programme progresses.

You will own P2P and taxation processes, drive workshops, and help transition legacy ECC processes to standard S/4HANA with focus on change management and measurable SOPs and KPIs.

Responsibilities

Job description

Masentó is working with a global organisation that is embarking on their S/4 HANA Transformation. We require a SAP Business Process Lead – Procure-to-Pay & Taxation to join their team on a freelance basis.

You will work between the operational business teams and the system integrator (SI), making sure the business's interests are protected and that the SI delivers fit-to-standard processes. You will be the future process owner for these areas as the programme moves through Explore and Build.

Key Responsibilities

• Take part in and drive fit-to-standard workshops with business SMEs and the SI.
• Validate and challenge the to-be P2P and taxation processes, and review the existing high-level BRDs during the Explore phase.
• Act as the business-facing voice to the SI, translating requirements both ways and keeping design aligned with clean core principles.
• Work with operational SMEs to move legacy ECC processes towards standard S/4HANA processes.
• Advocate for and support change management within the team, guiding stakeholders through the shift from legacy to standard processes.
• Document and build SOPs and KPIs for the future operating model.
• Work with the existing change management domain and the wider programme team on readiness and adoption.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5 to 10 years of SAP experience
• Strong functional or business process background in P2P (MM, procurement and invoice-to-pay), with exposure to taxation processes.
• Experience on at least one ECC to S/4HANA transformation, ideally a greenfield or clean core programme, helping the business move from legacy to standard processes.
• Experience working in a process lead or process owner capacity, facing an SI and operational SMEs.
• Experience with SAP Ariba, which is in the implementation scope.
• Exposure to Coupa or similar procurement tools integrating with SAP.
• Knowledge of SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) for taxation.
• Confident communicator with the credibility to advocate for change.
• Experience in transformation programmes in other organisations, bringing lessons learned on fit-to-standard.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
• French language skills are a plus for Geneva or Montreal.

Working Arrangements

• Hybrid: the standard guideline is 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. The client may be flexible for a strong candidate, so alternatives such as a week on-site and a week remote may be considered.
