The role ensures a robust foundation for payroll operations, cloud uptime, security, and compliance, coordinating with SAP Cloud Infrastructure, BTP components, and multi-country payroll needs.

• Plan Unicode migration and international payroll support across multi-country operations.

Job description

The BASIS/RISE Lead will oversee technical infrastructure planning and execution for SAP payroll solutions, with specific focus on SAP Basis administration, RISE (Run SAP in the Cloud) infrastructure, Unicode coordination, and system stability for payroll processing. This role ensures a robust foundation for reliable payroll operations in the cloud environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Basis System Administration for Payroll

• Manage SAP payroll system architecture, including development, quality, and production environments.
• Oversee system configuration and parameter tuning for optimal payroll performance.
• Manage user administration and security groups specific to payroll users.
• Monitor payroll system performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
• Manage backup and recovery procedures for payroll data protection.
• Perform regular system maintenance, patches, and kernel updates.
• Troubleshoot payroll system issues and esaltate to SAP support.

RISE Infrastructure Coordination

• Coordinate with SAP Cloud Infrastructure team on RISE deployment for payroll workloads.
• Manage SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) components for payroll integrations.
• Oversee high availability and disaster recovery configurations for payroll processing.
• Manage infrastructure cost optimization for payroll systems.
• Coordinate cloud security and compliance requirements for payroll data.
• Ensure uptime SLAs are met for critical payroll processing windows.
• Manage infrastructure documentation and architecture diagrams.

Unicode & International Payroll Support

• Plan and execute Unicode migration strategy for payroll system data.
• Manage code page conversions and character set encoding for multi-country payroll.
• Ensure international character support for US/Canada payroll processing.
