• Wear employer-specified PPE and protective gear.
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines established for this position.
• Work in a hot, wet and humid environment and perform tasks for extended periods.
• Additional duties as assigned; clean large areas on multiple levels.

General Description:

A sanitation specialist is generally responsible for maintaining sanitation standards in a food‑manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations. Other responsibilities could be included.

TRAINING IS PROVIDED!

Schedule:

Full Time, Panama Schedule

Responsibilities:

• Dry mops, wet mop (wash/scrub) floors. The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with manual or power scrubbing equipment,
• Transports garbage from garbage bins or compactor area.
• Cleans areas/overheads requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach including Mobile elevated platforms.
• Maintains and conducts preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums.
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Cleaning and sanitizing food production environment
• Wear employer-specified protective gear, including two pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc.
• Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions (with protective gear)
• Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during extended periods of time.
• Follow all Health and Safety guidelines established by spec for this position.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Cleaning large areas on multiple levels.
• Required to work in an environment that is hot, wet & humid.

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Food industry experience and knowledge of cleaning in a food plant environment.
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral, are required.
