Light Duty Cleaner - Food Court Area

Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services is seeking a light duty cleaner in Winnipeg for a part-time role. You will perform light cleaning tasks across washrooms, kitchens, floors, and common areas, with routine vacuuming, scrubbing, and daily spot cleaning.

You’ll follow health/safety rules and participate in training while supporting site operations. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Participate in all training as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the Company.
• Sweep/dry mop, and wash/buff floors and stairwells utilizing manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.
• Vacuum carpets and matting in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo when directed rugs in assigned buildings.
• Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.
• Additional responsibilities as applicable to site:
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points
• Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned including clean/disinfect and polish fixtures and appliances as applicable, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.
• Replenish supply of consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.
• Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, etc. removing marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.
• Clean elevator(s) as applicable.
• Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out
• High dusting and wall washing.
• Additional duties as required.
