Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a safety‑conscious Snow Truck Operator to maintain haul roads at the Eagle River site near Wawa. Responsibilities include snow removal, sanding, material hauling, and supporting road construction and rehabilitation in a hands-on mining environment.
The role requires 3–5 years in heavy equipment operations, a valid AZ license, and ability to work 12‑hour shifts on a 7 on/7 off rotation. Competitive total compensation is offered.
Wesdome is a Canadian-focused gold producer with two high-grade underground assets, the Eagle River mine in Ontario and the Kiena mine in Québec. The Company’s primary goal is to responsibly leverage its operating platform and high-quality brownfield and greenfield exploration pipeline to build a growing value-driven gold producer.
The Eagle River Mine sitehas a tight-knit team where everyone knows each other and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support. It is a hands-on, fast paced environment where work feels impactful and you can see the results of your contributions quickly. There are many long-tenured employees and a lot of site pride.
The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real ‘boots on the ground’ setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. The camp offers excellent food, a sauna/gym, recreational room and the opportunity to stay connected with family and friends.
Hourly Rate: $42.35

The successful candidate will be responsible for snow and ice removal, sanding, material hauling, dust control, and general haul road maintenance. The Sand Truck Operator will also support road construction, rehabilitation, drainage, reclamation, and material movement activities across the site while working closely with other heavy equipment operators and site personnel.
This is a hands-on position requiring a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and maintaining safe road conditions in a dynamic mining environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions and responding to changing site and operational requirements.
You are a safety-focused and dependable heavy truck operator with experience operating equipment in a mining, construction, forestry, or industrial environment. You take pride in operating equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining your equipment, and identifying potential hazards before they become a concern.
You bring strong situational awareness and understand the importance of maintaining safe road conditions, visibility, berms, signage, and traffic controls in an active mine environment. You are comfortable working independently while also collaborating with graders, dozers, excavators, loaders, and other site personnel to support road maintenance and construction activities.
Shift / Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts, Days/Nights
Schedule / Rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off
