Job summary

Healthy Planet in Ottawa is seeking a Sampling Ambassador to engage customers with hands-on product demos and natural health education. You will showcase wellness-focused snacks and supplements, guide customers, and build excitement around featured brands in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role involves coordinating demo stations across multiple stores, collaborating with store teams, and completing training modules.

Qualifications

• Certified Holistic Nutritionist or actively pursuing certification.
• 1-2 years' experience in retail, demos, nutrition coaching, or product education.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage the public.

Responsibilities

As a Sampling Ambassador at Healthy Planet, you'll be the friendly face that turns curiosity into confidence. Whether you're sharing the latest health-forward snack or highlighting a trending supplement, you'll help customers discover new favorites through interactive demos that educate, inspire, and delight.

This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, believes in the power of natural health, and thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Your enthusiasm and expertise will transform product sampling into meaningful wellness moments.

The typical hiring range for this position is $18 to $19. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, skill set, internal equity, and organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Host in-store product demonstrations with a focus on nutritional benefits and wellness outcomes.
• Offer personalized, in-the-moment guidance to customers seeking natural health support.
• Deliver accurate product information, answering questions with warmth and expertise.
• Encourage trial through sampling, promotions, and wellness storytelling.
• Set up, organize, and maintain demo stations across 2-4 store locations.
• Prepare materials, samples, and product displays according to brand standards.
• Ensure demos are aligned with marketing campaigns, product launches, or seasonal focus.
• Track and report customer engagement, product feedback, and sales performance.

Collaboration & Brand Representation

• Collaborate with store teams and category managers to align on scheduling, inventory, and demo priorities.
• Stay current on new products, wellness trends, and company initiatives.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting space before, during, and after each demo.

Training & Compliance

• Completion of required Lessonly training modules
• Ongoing participation in workshops and brand education sessions to stay current on wellness trends and company initiatives
• Demonstrated commitment to attendance, punctuality, team collaboration, and reliability

Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CNP, RHN, or equivalent) or actively pursuing certification.
• 1-2 years' experience in retail, demos, nutrition coaching, or product education.
• Strong communication skills with a passion for engaging the public.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Sales and customer service mindset with a focus on wellness.
