Job summary

Canada Life in Windsor, London and Kitchener offices seeks a Sales Support Associate to assist the sales team through proposal processing and renewal activities. This permanent full-time role requires understanding the sales process and delivering timely, accurate support to advisors and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication in English; French is an asset.
• Post-secondary education.
• Strong critical thinking skills with an analytical approach.
• Adept with numbers, formulas and ability to read, compare and understand data.
• Understanding the end-to-end sales process and how each part of the process impacts the next.
• Intermediate to advanced skill in Excel, with the ability to learn and work within other software programs (RS4, ARC, Salesforce, etc.).
• Comfortable using MS Office 365 (One Note, One Drive, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail is key to succeed in this role.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of the group benefits industry would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Understand the sales process and participate in processing the business with excellence.
• Work with systems required for Sales Support Associate accountabilities of the sales and renewal process.
• Collaborate with Sales to ensure proposals are processed and released in a timely manner to partners.
• Understand renewal process and assist in preparing renewals.
• Acknowledge and raise opportunities to the sales team.
• Take on ad-hoc assignments as needed.
• Provide back-up support to other positions on the team as required.
