Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a Supervisor to lead customer service efforts in a collaborative working environment. Qualifications

  • 2 years Ostomy / Fitting / Sales experience.
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Current Certification in Ostomy, Incontinence, Wound care or Compression Garment is valuable.

The Supervisor is responsible in maintaining customer service standards through a safe and efficient operation, while upholding confidentiality of sensitive matter and adhering to Company policies, procedures and standards. The Supervisor provides direction and supervision to Ostomy Associates, Sales Associates and Surgical Fitters

Responsibilities :

  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer merchandise, questions, comments, requests, and complaints while always upholding confidentiality of information.
  • Effectively works in a diverse team environment in a proficient and friendly manner.
  • Assist the manager in the operation of the centre in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the achievement of centre- level confidential budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses, profits, and EHP
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the manger regarding recommendations for continued improvement of the centre.
  • Establish and maintain a strong, efficient, and productive working relationship with approved professionals, business organizations and internal / external company representatives.
  • Assist in the administration of the sale of merchandise, inventory control, purchasing, price integrity, invoices, credits, claims, and all administrative areas not specifically referred to in this document.
  • Be a liaison and public relations representative for the company within the communities you serve.
  • Responsible for ordering merchandise and supplies, assists in organizing and conducting inventory.
  • Adhere to all government and professional standards and regulations as they apply to the Home Health Care Industry.
  • Provides administrative support to the manager while upholding confidentiality in the following areas : Participates in performance management including coaching and written work records. Assists management in identifying high-potential employees. Provide training to subordinates giving them the necessary skills, ability and experience required to perform quality work and meet the standards. Participate in the development of yearly competency performance work plan and development action planand yearly budgets. Participates in interviews as required.
  • Provides supervision / direction to staff in the centre in the following areas : Ensures daily functions are carried out in an organized and efficient manner. Technical and customer service training (. orientation, commodity specific functions, etc) with day to day instruction. Participates in program implementation.
  • Provide leadership and direction while upholding confidentiality in all lines of business including the administration of the policies and procedures for the company.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) including participate in HSE activities, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about and comply with HSE policies, procedures and legislation, assist in identifying unhealthy, unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Two years Ostomy / Fitting / Sales experience.

Desirable Qualifications :

  • Medical related education or work experience.
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Current Certification in Ostomy, Incontinence, Wound care or Compression Garment
