Job summary

Roofmart is seeking a Sales Specialist in Canada to manage and grow relationships with existing customers while developing new business opportunities across roofing, siding, metal and building envelope. You will define and execute sales plans, coordinate with suppliers, and educate customers and staff on products.

The role offers a competitive compensation package of $75-95k CAD per year plus commission, a company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• College Diploma or Degree in Business/Sales/Marketing preferred.
• 3+ years of roofing sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support and build relationships with existing customers and develop new ones.
• Grow new business and expand market share by addressing needs of contractors, architects, and customers and converting them from competitors.
• Define, build, implement and monitor Sales Plan, including strategies, targets and priorities.
• Create action plans for defined sales targets and coordinate with suppliers to execute plans.
• Educate customers and staff on products; manage customer samples and educational stock levels.
• Manage customer payments and credit with credit managers, including collections and AR adjustments.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage, support and build relationships with existing customers as well as develop new customers
• Grow new business and expand market share by providing solutions to the needs of current and future contractors, architects and customers by converting them away from competitor products.
• Defining, building, implementing and monitoring Sales Plan, including sales strategies, targets, and priorities
• Creating action plans for defined sales targets and working with our suppliers to execute the plans
• Educating customers and staff on products; managing customer sample & educational stock levels
• Managing customer payments & credit in coordination with credit managers, including collections, credit recommendations, and AR adjustments within set rules

Qualifications

• College Diploma or Degree (in Business/Sales/Marketing preferred) and/or 3 or more years of successful Roofing Sales experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem solver with the ability to handle difficult situations
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Ability to travel
