Position Details:

  • This is a contract position.
  • We offer a competitive salary and commission model with total target compensation at $75,000.
  • Car allowance, fuel card, and company cell phone benefits available!
  • 80% Driving Travel Required: This role requires the ability to drive to and from customer locations across the assigned sales territory. Some overnight stays may be required.
  • Territory will cover Northeast British Columbia (Fort Saint John, Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge, Fort Nelson, Pouce Coupe, Taylor) and Northwest Alberta (Manning, Highlevel, Lacrete).


Position Purpose:

The Sales Representative position offers an exciting chance to fuel our company's growth. You'll oversee a broad array of existing independent convenience store customers, driving sales through our varied foodservice and convenience programs. Your role extends beyond maintaining existing customers; it involves tapping into new customers and forging strong business relationships. Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales and profit margins through execution on sales strategy and territory management, planning a sales approach customized with individual customers.
  • Prospecting and onboarding of new customer accounts, including cold calling to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Educate the customer on convenience and foodservice programs, new product promotions, marketing policies, service, delivery specifics, and industry activities.
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly reports with the store manager and assist with any opportunities that may arise.
  • Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms and follow-up on any issues.
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within sales territory, particularly for products, to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Participate in relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Proven success with closing sales for a variety of product lines with B2B.
  • Proven and successful sales ledger travel & effective time management experience.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with an ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Strong communication and presentation skill set with a demonstrated ability to conduct professional, results-driven customer presentations.
  • Intermediate abilities with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint & Power BI.
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial spirit with competitive drive.
  • Sales professional with experience and track record of growing market share.
  • Proven success with relationship building and providing consultative services for customers.


Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED is required.

Must own a reliable vehicle with valid driver's license, current auto insurance with a clean driving record.

2+ years of B2B sales account management and consulting experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

Experience in food service, wholesale, grocery, or retail convenience industries is highly preferred.

Experience with CRM platforms such as SalesForce.
