Job summary

PPG is seeking a Sales Manager for Western Canada to lead a high-performing team and drive region-wide growth. You will guide Territory Sales Managers and collaborate with Collision Region Managers to meet regional and corporate goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in after market collision sales.
  • Knowledge of sales processes; market knowledge advantageous.
  • Experience researching and generating leads with data interpretation.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Experience engaging with customers at multiple organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time; valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Must pass motor vehicle record (MVR) review and meet FAVR program requirements.

Job description

The Sales Manager drives sales growth, profitability, and team development within their designated region (Western Canada). You will lead a high-performing team of Refinish Collision Professionals comprising Territory Sales Managers, working collaboratively alongside the Collision Region Managers to achieve regional and organizational goals.

The primary focus is to implement strategies in the designated region and influence marketing strategies across North America through established distribution networks and direct accounts, to meet established growth and profit targets. You will report to the National Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve single and team performance goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, field support activities, and development planning.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, organization, and development of a regional sales team that can reach diverse market segments and achieving growth and profitability goals.
  • Oversee the development of the sales pipeline within the region, ensuring progress and the achievement of sales targets.
  • Manage controllable expenses with budgetary guidelines to improve profitability.
  • Foster team engagement and promote diversity within the regional sales organization.
  • Collaborate with the Collision National Manager to align collision sales strategies and maximize market coverage.
  • Implement the sales organization structure following our overall strategic direction.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of broader business strategies.
  • Identify and use main competitive advantages and Experience responding to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests value propositions to customers.
  • Build relationships with customers and distributors at multiple organizational levels.
  • Through PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program, you'll have the flexibility to drive your own vehicle while receiving tax-advantaged reimbursement for fuel, insurance, and other eligible business-related vehicle expenses. The program is designed to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to a company vehicle while giving you greater choice and flexibility.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent leadership experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in after market collision sales is required.
  • Knowledge of sales processes; market knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience researching and generating leads with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Experience engaging with customers at multiple organizational levels and throughout the value chain.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time – may vary depending on where you’re located.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.

Base salary range is between $97k and $150k/year
