Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by providing superior customer service and selling products and/or services that maximize revenues as identified in the Coast Hotels' strategic plan.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform specialized duties related to Sales, such as acting as a key contact with clients; qualifying business; liaising with customers and internal teams to deliver service; promoting Coast's products and services; organizing and executing sales campaigns; participating in tradeshows and promotions; identifying opportunities to increase revenues and market share; developing cross-property sales opportunities.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of quotes, contracts, reports, and client correspondence; maintain detailed and updated client records.
  3. Establish and communicate clear objectives, targets, and operational standards for Sales.
  4. Monitor work quality and provide feedback to ensure standards are met, including yield management practices to maximize revenues and meet sales targets.
  5. Participate in site inspections, client meetings, and events to expand market share.
  6. Follow up on sales inquiries internally and externally.
  7. Demonstrate superior customer service, understanding guest needs, addressing concerns, and exceeding expectations.
  8. Deliver excellent service aligned with company policies and brand promises; resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
  9. Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  10. Perform other duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of related sales experience, preferably in hotel sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and professional appearance.
  • Effective phone etiquette and sales communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Conflict resolution experience is an asset.
  • Second language skills are an asset.
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
  • Alignment with Coast's core values and a culture of accountability.
