Job Title: Sales Manager - Pet

Reports to: VP of Sales
Location: Remote in B.C. Must reside in British Columbia
Essential Functions Include
- The position of Sales Manager carries with it a substantial responsibility in the overall success of the company.
- Your main responsibility is to obtain new customers in the pet co-manufacturing & retail industry. This includes establishing new customer accounts, driving new sales opportunities, and product development in the freeze-dried space including but not limited to bulk sales, private label sales, and pet food service.
- The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of competitive markets, set aggressive goals, and be measured through new accounts, annual revenue, and new leads.
Qualifications Include
- The qualified individual may possess a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a similarly situated degree.
- Must have sales experience in the pet food ingredients & pet treat industry, with examples of demonstrated excellence in the workplace.
- The Sales Manager must display strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Ability to engage with individuals inside and outside of the organization and exercise sound judgement.
Product Safety & Quality
- Prioritize food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing Thrive Freeze Dry’s policies and procedures.
- Hold self and others accountable to food safety, quality, and sanitation guidelines by communicating incidents or opportunities to leadership.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with Product Safety and Quality standards.
- Ensure GMP’s regarding food contact packaging are followed.
- Ensure compliance with all SQF system requirements related to food safety, product defense, and quality objectives.
Physical Requirements
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
