Job description

LightForm is a team of design-driven sales, marketing and support staff who help Canada's interior design and architecture professionals light their residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. We are the Canadian partner for more than 70 top modern lighting manufacturers from Europe and North America, and our clients include some of the country’s most innovative design and architecture firms. Our showrooms in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary showcase unique, exclusive, and iconic collections of modern architectural and decorative lighting from around the world and serve as an exciting event space for designer visits, parties, and educational sessions.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team and lead our sales efforts in the Edmonton Area.

As a Sales Manager at LightForm, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your assigned region. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients, while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Your strategic thinking, leadership skills, and passion for the lighting industry will contribute to the overall success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals within Edmonton and surrounding area.
  2. Lead a team of Account Executives, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success.
  3. Recruit, train, and develop new Account Executives to develop new business opportunities.
  4. Provide technical lighting knowledge to Account Executives and operations staff.
  5. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
  6. Specify core brands with the architect and design community to achieve design forward lighting solutions.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service and purchasing to align strategies and drive business growth.
  8. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to clients and senior management.
  9. Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  10. Travel within the region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct market research.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Architecture or Engineering. MBA is an asset.
  2. Proven track record of at least 5 years in B2B sales, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  3. Strong understanding of lighting products, technologies, and industry trends.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
  6. Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive sales growth.
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable plans.
  8. Proficiency in NetSuite and Google suite an asset.
  9. Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
