Job Description

DMC Recruitment Group is collaborating with a leading manufacturer of building materials – for residential, commercial, and agriculture projects. Currently on target with their 10-year growth plan, they are hiring a Sales Manager for their southern Alberta location to lead expansion into British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Our client is a highly respected manufacturer with a 40-year history, known for superior quality, strong core values, and a company that backs everything they do. With a strong design team, proven manufacturing practices, and impressive logistics, they have built a strong customer following. The newly developed sales team requires a leader to assist in expanding into new territories, as well as coaching and mentoring the team to sustain their success.

Role Description :

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the sales team, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will identify new business opportunities, maintain existing client relationships, and develop strategic sales plans to expand market presence. The client segments include home-builders, contractors, architects, designers, and renovators.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies, manage budgets, and drive performance to meet revenue targets.
  2. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, including outside sales, project coordinators, and schedulers, to ensure peak performance and professional growth.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and building materials industry.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and other stakeholders.
  5. Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
  6. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  7. Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs.
  8. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients to secure profitable sales.
  9. Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales or sales management, preferably within the building construction/materials industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Knowledge of the building construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
