Kelly Services is partnering with a leading food manufacturing company to hire skilled Maintenance Mechanics across Mississauga, Vaughan, and Woodbridge. The role focuses on providing mechanical support, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operation.

You will repair and maintain processing and packaging equipment, work with cross-functional teams, and use CMMS/SAP for work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, modify, and maintain machinery and equipment in processing and packaging environments.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective, timely solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and major equipment overhauls.
• Operate machine shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, and saws.
• Assist with equipment setup, takedown, and relocation.
• Support production teams with equipment troubleshooting and changeovers.

Kelly Services is partnering with a leading food manufacturing company to hire skilled Maintenance Mechanics across multiple facilities in Mississauga, Vaughan, and Woodbridge. About the Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll provide mechanical support across processing, packaging, and facility operations. You'll troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and work closely with production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the plant.

Shift & Pay

• Rotating continental shifts (either 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am or 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am, depending on location)
• Pay rate: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour, based on experience
• $2.00/hr for weekend shifts

What You'll Be Doing

• Repair, install, modify, and maintain machinery and equipment in processing and packaging environments
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective, timely solutions
• Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and major equipment overhauls
• Operate machine shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, and saws
• Assist with equipment setup, takedown, and relocation
• Support production teams with equipment troubleshooting and changeovers
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and toolbox
• Complete electronic shift reports and work orders using CMMS (SAP)
• Order and track parts and support inventory management activities
• Participate in shift handovers, health & safety meetings, and ongoing training
• Follow GMP, Health & Safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Work flexibly across shifts and locations as required

What You Bring

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs
• Mechanical training or equivalent hands‑on maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced production environment
• Experience with packaging, processing, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, or fabrication considered an asset
