Job summary

Canon Canada is seeking a Sales Enablement Associate Specialist to bridge business strategy with sales execution. You will craft tools, content, and enablement tactics for the DSD sales teams while coordinating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Business Planning across Canon portfolios.

The role reports to the Supervisor, B2B Channel Marketing and offers a hybrid work model with in-office and remote days, plus a comprehensive benefits program and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in Business or Marketing.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Good time management and multitasking skills to handle several tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills to create reports and study data to give advice to management.
  • Basic project and process management skills to take part in medium-sized projects across different business areas.
  • Basic skills to operate Canon equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the DSD sales teams by generating new sales ideas, sharing sales metrics, planning account-level strategies, and creating quarterly promotions.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand regions and branches, addressing challenges and supporting sales channels.
  • Help carry out plans with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Business Planning teams, including product/channel positioning and events.
  • Create sales enablement tools and resources with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Business Planning.
  • Assess current sales processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements with key stakeholders.
  • Keep the Direct Sales Division Portal updated and promote available tools.
  • Collaborate with Strategy Planning to update the B2B activity calendar including events and trainings.
  • Engage with Canon sales companies and industry groups to gather product and market information.

Sales Enablement Associate Specialist - Hybrid

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, B2B Channel Marketing, the Sales Enablement Associate Specialist works cross-functionally to align business strategy with actionable sales support tools and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Management to support the DSD sales teams by generating new sales ideas through brainstorming sessions, sharing sales metrics and performance data, planning account-level sales strategies, and creating ways to use quarterly promotions.
  • Work with Management and sales teams to better understand each region and branch, including their specific challenges. Partner with internal teams to find solutions that support each sales team or channel.
  • Follow Management’s direction to help the Business Strategy Team carry out plans with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Business Planning teams across product portfolios. These plans will include clear action steps, such as product or channel positioning, launch events, promotions, and service approvals.
  • With direction from Management, support the Business Strategy Team in creating sales enablement tools and resources in collaboration with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Business Planning.
  • With direction from Management, work with stakeholders to assess current sales processes, identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and implement corrective changes with key internal stakeholders.
  • Keep the Direct Sales Division Portal updated so sales reps have access to important materials. Promote the sales enablement tools and resources available there.
  • Work with the Strategy Planning Team to create and update the B2B activity calendar. Include all sales and customer activities, webinars, trade shows, events, and product or service training sessions.
  • When needed, connect with other Canon sales companies and industry organizations to gather product and market information and stay informed.
To Succeed, You Will Need
  • Post-Secondary education in Business or Marketing
  • A minimum of 1 year of related work experience
  • Good time management and multitasking skills to handle several tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good analytical skills to create reports and study data to give advice to management
  • Good computer skills to use pivot tables, v-lookups, and basic formulas in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite to make marketing materials
  • Some experience with Oracle, S21, SharePoint, and Canon Portal
  • Basic project and process management skills to take part in medium-sized projects across different business areas
  • Basic skills to operate Canon equipment

Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
  • Compensation Range $58,700 - $62,000 annually.
