Job Summary
Supermicro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Sales Director responsible for maintaining the quality, efficiency, and integrity of our sales processes through marketing activities and collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs. This role involves evaluating new and existing opportunities, understanding client needs, and negotiating successful partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop new accounts within the assigned region.
  2. Engage with customers in Government, Data centers/Cloud, Gaming, and HPC sectors.
  3. Manage outbound cold calls and develop relationships with potential customers such as System Integrators, VARs, OEMs.
  4. Identify and develop new accounts, create target lists for vertical markets.
  5. Initiate outbound calls to potential customers.
  6. Manage objections and build superior customer service relationships.
  7. Qualify opportunities and develop targeted lists for vertical markets.
  8. Maintain strong communication regarding products and marketing information.
  9. Monitor inventory, negotiate pricing, manage orders, and handle credit issues and returns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of sales experience in the computer industry, including cold calling, lead qualification, and contract negotiation.
  • Passion for sales activities.
  • Experience in tracking and reporting lead activity data.
  • Proven success in selling technology to corporate accounts.
  • Strong communication skills across disciplines, cultures, and geographies.
  • Successful cold calling and follow-up with executives and decision-makers.
  • Good understanding of OEM, Web 2.0, Large Enterprise, and Data Center markets.
  • Skills in pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, objection handling, and territory management.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual skills are a plus.

Salary Range
$159,000 - $193,000. Compensation depends on factors such as location, experience, education, and skills. Benefits include a comprehensive package, with potential bonuses and equity participation.
