Job summary

Staples Canada in Ontario is seeking a Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales in furniture, technology and supplies, and maintain store standards. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and keep the sales floor organized.

You will work with the team to meet store goals, maintain safety policies, and ensure accurate merchandising and signage. Great communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
