Job summary

Staples Canada in Niagara Falls is seeking a retail associate to deliver outstanding customer service, engage shoppers, and support sales across furniture, technology and supplies. You will work with store leaders to set and achieve sales and margin goals while maintaining a clean, organized store.

This role involves handling transactions, assisting customers with tailored recommendations, and upholding Health & Safety, asset protection, and signage standards.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
