Job summary

Staples Canada in Fort St. John is seeking a Store Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies.

You will help set and achieve sales and margin goals with store leaders while upholding brand standards and ensuring a safe, well-merchandised store environment. Responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence and uphold store brand standards.
• Support all merchandising and signage standards including planograms and stocking.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Asset Protection, and Privacy Policies.
• Engage with and sell to all customers using selling tools to anticipate needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations or refer to a manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment and ensure demo units are functional.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
