Job summary

Staples Canada in Boucherville is seeking a friendly retail associate to deliver outstanding service and help customers find the right furniture, technology and supplies. You will assist customers, maintain store presentation, and contribute to sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas.

As part of the team, you will handle transactions at the POS, support merchandising standards, and uphold Health & Safety policies while providing a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
