Job summary

Stephenson’s Rental Services is seeking a Sales and Rental Associate to help customers, sell products, take orders, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. You’ll listen, respond quickly, and ensure customers feel cared as you match needs with our rental solutions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in customer service and/or direct customer sales.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• G Class Driver’s License with clean abstract.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and convert to sales by transferring product knowledge to customers.
• Probe for needs and match customer needs with Stephenson’s rental products and solutions.
• Seek sales opportunities on a consistent basis.
• Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner and resolve issues as they arise.
• Drive in-store merchandising initiatives including pricing, inventory control and product placement.
• Follow all procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products for customers.
• Maintain inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
• Assist in fleet management to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs.
• With the Manager, monitor disputes, monthly billing, over-due accounts, invoicing, etc.
• Work with the yard team to ensure rentals are correctly staged and returned equipment inventories are correct.
• Manage branch email inbox.

• Probe for needs and match customer needs with Stephenson’s rental products and solutions.


• Seek sales opportunities on a consistent basis.


• Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner and resolve issues as they arise.


• Drive in-store merchandising initiatives. This includes pricing, inventory control, product placement, etc.


• Follow all procedures related to the delivery and pick‑up of products for customers.


• Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.

What you bring to the table

• 2 years of experience in customer service and/or direct customer sales.

• Technical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
