Position : Sales and Distribution Coordinator

Who We Are :

Wild Folk is a Calgary-based manufacturer of craft non-alcoholic botanical cocktails reminiscent of the classics. Founded by a holistic chef, we use a unique blend of herbs, botanicals and citrus rinds to create free-spirited cocktails with all of the flavour - and none of the booze.

Wild Folk aims to redefine drinking culture by offering a premium alternative that caters to modern lifestyles, health-conscious consumers, and those seeking inclusive social experiences.

Who We’re Looking For :

Wild Folk’s free-spirited cocktails are currently stocked in over 150 retailers, bars and restaurants throughout Alberta, in addition to locations throughout the rest of Canada and some in the United States. As our brand continues to grow and establish a greater presence (especially in western Canada), we’re looking to bring on a talented individual to help guide our sales and distribution strategies.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is familiar and passionate about the non-alcoholic industry and has prior knowledge of CPG. They would also be a people person with a gift for connection and creating strong relationships. As they will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales growth, manage distribution channels and ensure efficiencies, a love of sales and knowledge of distribution would be considered a huge asset.

The ideal candidate will also bring experience to administrative, warehousing, and supply chain tasks, as well as flexibility to accomplish various tasks associated with running a small business at the growth stage. They should be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities :

  • Create and manage sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Support merchandising in-store for local vendors and manage relationships via phone for out of city accounts
  • Identify new markets and opportunities to expand customer base
  • Build and maintain relationships with retailers, wholesalers and distributors
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports / monitor sales and industry / competitor trends
  • Provide some assistance with contract negotiation
  • Fill out Planograms and submit stock requests
  • Coordinate samplings and staff trainings
  • Support the team with some order processing and shipping
  • Work alongside marketing and administration functions to align operational efforts with broader organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications :

  • Prior Experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and food / beverage industry
  • Knowledge surrounding data management and analysis for business growth
  • Interest in industry trends and best practices regarding operational excellence
  • Experience engaging, connecting, and negotiating with business clients
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Formal education in business operations or equivalent experience such as Bachelors degree in Business administration and logistics
  • 3 + years in sales, distribution or supply chain management (preferably in the beverage or health-food industry)
  • Strong negotiation and management skills

Location and Hours :

Flexible hours 30 / week, requirement to work on-location. Occasional evening and weekend availability to support other business operations is required. Access to a motor vehicle is an asset.

Compensation :

Competitive rate depending on experience and responsibilities.
