Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Operations (Alberta and Central Operations), the Regional Operations Manager, Edmonton South (ROM) is responsible for driving the success of the Medicentres business within their region. This includes hands-on management and coaching of the clinic teams to meet quality care, customer service, financial, and operational goals, as well as communicating and implementing the organization’s strategic objectives to the clinics. The ROM also liaises with community partners and stakeholders as required.

Additionally, the ROM, Edmonton South, is responsible for driving the success and growth of the Immigration business within Medicentres, including liaising with immigration physicians, managing immigration teams, and developing the immigration program.

The ROM, Edmonton South, serves as a member of Medicentres’ Leadership team, supporting the organization’s future development.

Job Dimensions:

Direct Reports: Clinic Managers

Indirect Reports: Clinic Staff, Regional Support Staff

Management responsibilities include tracking KPIs, analyzing productivity, efficiency, patient satisfaction, and implementing improvements.

Financial responsibilities involve overseeing regional finances, working with Clinic Managers on reporting and resource management.

Other duties include physician recruitment and retention, community partnership building, business development, and regulatory compliance.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Clinic Management and Oversight: Lead clinic teams, oversee performance goals, foster a customer service culture, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Regional Team Leadership: Collaborate with the operations team, recruit and evaluate managers, mentor successors, and facilitate communication and clinic visits.
  • Business Development: Support clinic growth, acquisition, community involvement, and brand perception.
  • Organizational Leadership: Participate in leadership meetings, contribute to strategic projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of management experience in a multi-unit environment
  • Customer service and mentorship focus
  • Leadership, communication, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel
  • Budgeting and reporting skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Confidentiality in accordance with the Health Information Act

Fluency in French and English is an asset. Other languages are also valued.
