Job summary

BeInBA's client in the manufacturing sector seeks a Safety Manager to join the site safety and compliance team. You will help design and implement safety policies, lead regulatory training sessions, and maintain safety records to ensure daily operations stay compliant.

Key responsibilities include leading incident investigations, analyzing safety metrics, and acting as a liaison with government agencies, responders, and community partners to uphold a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
• CRSP designation or in progress toward certification.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on safety practices across lockout/tagout, confined spaces, hazard assessments.
• Strong verbal and written communication and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site compliance with government safety and security requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site safety policies, procedures, and training.
• Coordinate regulatory training and maintain safety records.

As a Safety Manager, you will be part of the safety and compliance department supporting site operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety management, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's Needed?

• University degree or equivalent technical training in Occupational Health & Safety
• Recognized CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation or enrolled in a safety program leading to this certification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with industrial safety practices such as lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard assessments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with computer applications
