Job summary

Canadian Maritime Engineering is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a safe working environment. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and delivering training to employees.

The position also requires inspections, incident investigations, recordkeeping, regulatory liaison, and driving continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Certification such as CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Excellent communication and training skills. Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
