You are an administrative professional with a strong background in Health & Safety. As our Health & Safety Coordinator at Canfor Pulp, you will leverage these skills to support OH&S teams by assisting with the administration and implementation of safety programs and initiatives across the organization.

Using your exceptional planning and organizational skills, you will manage and disseminate Canfor's safety communications, ensuring employees are informed about safety metrics, policies, and procedures. You will coordinate safety training, audits, and incident investigations, working closely with various departments to foster a safety-oriented culture. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative ability will help us, and YOU, maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

A day in the life of our Health & Safety Coordinator will include:

  • Creating and supporting communication strategies to engage the workforce, including delivering the weekly Safety Newsletter.
  • Administering Compliance Training, including scheduling, documenting records, and related tasks.
  • Overseeing and managing the Emergency Response Crew Program, ensuring its continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the implementation of health and safety programs across CPL, including training, audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Monitoring industry trends and evolving regulatory requirements, maintaining records for reporting and compliance.
  • Supporting the Safety Advisor group during emergency responses, which may include CSE Rescue, First Aid, Fire, Hazmat, etc.

You will have:

  • AFA Advanced Level Certification or Emergency Medical Responder License
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License

The salary range for this position is: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
