Job summary

Equisoft Inc. in Montreal is seeking an IT Business Analyst to build and maintain the functional documentation foundation for our next-generation web platform, and to document client change requests on the desktop platform.

You will collaborate with the product owner and development team to ensure clear, traceable documentation and support the product lifecycle with AI-assisted drafting and rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• Technical Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 2–5 years in a similar SaaS role.
• Ability to document existing systems with writing samples.
• High precision and structured documentation.
• Advanced Jira and Confluence skills.
• Experience gathering knowledge from subject-matter experts.
• Bilingual French & English communication.
• Experience with desktop and web platforms.
• Familiarity with AI tools in documentation workflow.
• Knowledge of Life & Health insurance processes and Canadian distribution ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain functional documentation for the Centralize web platform in Confluence, covering modules, workflows, business rules, and field specifications.
• Document existing behaviour by exploring the application hands-on and interviewing SMEs, turning knowledge into clear references.
• Create a feature inventory mapping desktop capabilities to web equivalents with current traceability.
• Document client change requests in Jira with solution descriptions, original requests, estimations, acceptance criteria, release notes, and tickets.
• Follow and help enforce ticket workflow and authorization steps for development entry.
• Define and maintain documentation standards, templates, and page structures for consistency.
• Support development and QA by answering functional questions and validating delivered work.
• Use AI tools to accelerate drafting and ensure accuracy.
