Job summary

Weir Minerals Surrey, BC is seeking a Rubber Liner to perform rubber lining on interior surfaces, read blueprints and drawings to achieve accurate layups, and prepare product components for lining.

This on-site day-shift role offers hands-on work in a safety‑driven environment, with a temp‑to‑perm path after six months and a competitive hourly wage of CAD 33.51.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pipes and hoses for rubber lining by rolling or painting interior surfaces.
  • Apply rubber to interior surfaces following drawings and instructions.
  • Read blueprint drawings and lay out rubber components per tolerances on a blueprint.
  • Handle materials safely and follow site safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to zero harm and safety culture.

Purpose of Role:

The Rubber Liner will carry out rubber lining processes according to standard safety procedures. They will be responsible for reading blueprints and drawings to achieve accuracy with laying, lining, and applying rubber on product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Product: Prepare pipes and hoses for application of rubber lining by rolling or painting interior surfaces after the sandblasting operation has been completed
  • Rubber Lining: Apply rubber to interior surfaces by following instructions, drawings and sketches provided
  • Read Blueprint Drawings: Use a layout table to lay out rubber components according to the specified drawings that will dictate tolerances on a blueprint drawing
  • Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and handling of material within the facility as required (mechanical & manually handling)
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Compensation - $33.51/hr

*Eligible for benefits after completing the 6 month probationary and training period. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Employees will be hired on a temp-to-perm basis, meaning they are hired for a 6 month contract and would be eligible for permanent employment after the 6 month training/probationary period.
