Job summary

Carefor in Ottawa is seeking a Supervisor, Personal Support Services (PSS) to lead daily delivery of home care services, oversee care plans, and support staff through coaching and training. You will work with Ontario Health at Home Coordinators, conduct performance reviews, participate in after-hours on-call rotation, and ensure high-quality service for clients.

The role requires an Ontario-licensed RPN with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and ability to manage competing

Qualifications

• Nurse licensed to practice in Ontario (RPN).
• Minimum 1 year leadership preferred.
• Minimum 2 years community nursing or PSW experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Understanding of CNO Standards of Practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with scheduling systems and computers.
• Ability to work with internal/external stakeholders.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and vehicle.
• Ability to manage competing demands and remain adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operation of the PSS program and assist Manager.
• Mentor and coach PSW staff to meet performance objectives.
• Support labour relations and performance reviews.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed by PSW staff.
• Complete annual performance reviews for staff.
• Assist in staffing and recruitment planning.
• Participate in regular after-hours On Call rotation.
