Job summary

The County of Lambton is seeking a Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse for Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia, ON. You will monitor elder care on an assigned neighbourhood, lead the nursing team, assess needs using InterRAI tools, and implement care plans with the team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, mentorship of students, and guiding support staff. A current RPN license and Ontario registration are required, with a vulnerable sector check within six months.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma required.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications and treatments for Elders, and assess effectiveness.
• Chart care provided, behaviours and incidents; respond to Elder and family inquiries.
• Act as a mentor for students and provide guidance to Personal Support Workers and other staff on the unit.
