Job summary

Atikokan Health and Community Services is seeking Registered Practical Nurses to provide quality care on acute and long-term care units. The RPN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for stable patients and residents under guidance from the Nursing leadership.

The role requires active CNO registration in Ontario, BCLS certification, and basic computer skills. Participation in specialty certification is encouraged as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• RPNAO membership preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.
• If graduated prior to 2005, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Physical Assessment for RPNs are required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to stable patients and residents.
• Assess, plan, provide, coordinate and evaluate care and treatment.
• Work on Acute and Long-Term Care units under supervision of Nurse Manager, Long Term Care Manager and Chief Nursing Officer.
