The Family Centre is seeking an individual to provide support to families within a trauma-informed framework. Roots and Wings workers will help caregivers improve parenting capacity, resilience, and natural supports, while strengthening connections to resources and encouraging community engagement.
Responsibilities include facilitating capacity-building activities, collaborating with partners, meeting families 1:1 to set goals, addressing barriers, and educating on trauma-informed parenting.
The Family Centre is currently looking for an individual to provide support to families. We are focused on Trauma-Informed Care for both our communities and staff, and provide services based on research and evidence-based practices. Roots and Wings workers support families to improve overall functioning, working with caregivers to create healthy family environments. You will support caregivers to increase their parental capacity, resilience, and natural connections; viewing families that you are working with as having the potential for success. You will also play a role in the community by enhancing connections to resources and encouraging families to positively engage within their community.
Training –comprehensive onboarding/orientation process which includes service specific, leading-edge training, and agency-wide core training
Feedback – a strong reflective supervision model that provides regular formal and informal opportunities for feedback
Performance Coachin g – formal and informal coaching regarding the development of personal and professional growth and development
