Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Victoria, BC, is hiring a Room Attendant to support housekeeping and laundry operations and maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

This casual role involves cleaning resident suites and common areas, handling linens, following infection control procedures, respecting resident privacy, and participating in team meetings and engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties in resident suites, common areas and offices
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures and surfaces
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, sinks, showers and glass surfaces
• Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms
• Collect trash and transport clean and soiled linens appropriately
• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute community laundry
• Inspect linens for wear and follow procedures for damaged items
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in safe, orderly condition
• Follow infection control, OSHA and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with resident needs and communicate updates to supervisors
• Participate in team meetings and engagement initiatives

Pay Range: 24.34 - 30.43 Employment Type: Casual

This position is classified as a casual role.

Casual employees work on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours and are not considered permanent employees.
