Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Canada (Quebec) is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform daily repairs, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and preventative facility upkeep to keep our community safe and well‑maintained. You will assist with painting, HVAC support, safety checks, and make-ready suites, following OSHA and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
